Tick, Tock.

All you could hear is the clock ticking as if time is rather slow, every second the same sound radiating. The room is engulfed by silence that even the faintest of sounds reach your ears.

Two days after the most recent expedition, here you are, sitting on the couch by the lance corporal’s desk. It’s been two days and Humanity’s Strongest is still working himself out with a bundle of papers.

You glance at him with pure concern. His steely eyes are severely shadowed, a mixture of purple and grey forming under them. His ebony hair a mess as strands fail to form their usual shape. His desk is chaotic, with papers falling off to the floor, whether scanned or not.

You feel your chest tighten at the sight. This is no good. Two days have passed since everyone returned from the outside and he has not gotten any better. It’s understandable to work himself out the first day, but today shouldn’t be this much hard on him as well. He needs rest, and plenty of them.

You prep yourself as you stand up to try and convince the poor man out of his seemingly hell office. This will cause him no benefit.

“Levi,” you approach the Captain calmly, “what do you say we get out and drink some tea for a while to get you a few rest? Yes?” you smile in all hopes that he’d agree and choose to come with you.

He raises his head to look at you, and as your eyes connect with his, it’s like a thousand daggers stabbed your heart. He’s so exhausted but he doesn’t want to show it. “As much as I would like your offer, there’s still more unfinished work here and I don’t want to go slacking off without complying. But thank you otherwise.”

You are not going to give up on this.

“Levi, there are other days to do this. You don’t have to overwork yourself, in fact, you won’t finish early if you do work without any energy at all,” convincing him is one way. You wish he would just give in but he continues to sign the paper he’s previously reading, and then another, and another.

He stays quiet, not saying anything back to your proposal. He’s fixed with his rejection, but you have your spirit.

“I’m atleast going to get you your tea,” you walk away, leaving his office and sighing once you close the door behind you.

You don’t want to force him out of his state because that might stress him more, so you’ll continue to try your luck by offering and offering again.

You head to the kitchen to make a freshly brewed tea for your lover. You see Hange discussing something with the commander at the table. When Erwin sees you, he immediately asks the Captain’s whereabouts.

“He’s… still doing paperwork,” you sadly inform. Everybody’s well aware that expeditions will never avoid casualties and the responsibilities that will be dragged along with it.

“Shorty must be working himself off, huh,” Hange adjusts her glasses. You know they’re concerned for the Captain as well, even though they don’t say anything more about it.

“I’ll go now,” you smile before walking back to the office, holding Levi’s tea. You know the way he makes his tea, and he wants it perfect. Aside from himself, the only person he allows to make tea for him is you. You pray this would get him away from his desk.

Without the need to knock, you enter the room, flashing a small grin while walking up to the Captain.

“Here, I brought you some tea, it’s still hot so be extra careful.” It’s difficult finding a place for the teacup since documents are everywhere, but you clean up a spot and try to help in organizing his work.

“Thanks,” is the only thing that comes out of his mouth. Disappointed, you slowly turn your back to him, taking a step toward the couch again, but you stop midways.

“Can you lay beside me in 10? I found difficulty sleeping last night and I think I should get some rest since I have nothing else to do, and you should definitely get rest, too, so?” you suggest, not giving up on the sleep deprived man although the idea is a little weak and stupid so you know he is going to refuse right away.

“Go get your rest, I can’t leave this,” he says, not even lifting his gaze to you. You see how he still pulled off his usual nonchalant expression, nonetheless you could see right through him.

“Can I atleast help you out in any way?” you wish he would say yes, but for god’s sake, he shakes his head, holding his ground, “I don’t need your help,” as he mutters your name, his tone begins to turn so cold.

“But Levi… look at you, you’re a mess! You get no sleep these past nights, and you haven’t even eaten lunch yet! I get how this is important but you need to take care of yourself. Please—”

“Will you quit bothering me even just for once in your life?” He seethes vehemently, massaging his temples as he asks for his very own version of peace.

With that you fall silent, taken aback. Every word he insinuated stings really hard like there’s venom in it. You want to speak up for yourself and explain what you want for him, but he’s way too fixated with his objective to finish his work that he doesn’t even realize that he has caused you pain within just a few words.

You stare at the raven head dumbfoundedly, looking for words to say but you just can’t find your voice. Opening your mouth to speak is no avail. The dead silence dominates once again.

You finally decide to leave the room. Maybe it’s best you give him what he wants.

Levi thinks this it’s best, too, since he needs concentration and craves focus in hopes of lifting his conscience by clearing his responsibilities regarding every fallen soldier’s death. He doesn’t mean any harm to you. No, he would never want that. But his desire to fulfill his tasks has quite blinded him.

He raises his head to look at you, noticing your sudden silence. You’re about to turn around at the moment, but your glistening eyes fail to escape his sight.

His heart wretches by the view. You crying is the last thing he wants, especially if it’s because of him. But he’s frozen and unable to move. He’s too much of a coward to speak up and stop you from your track.

This really is his fault. All this time what you have been implying was for him to unwind even for a bit, yet all he did was ignore your sweet concern.

Your heavy footsteps echoed around the room. Tears have already fallen from your misty orbs, eventually dropping to the floor.

His attempt to call you out and apologize immediately after he lashed out is unsuccessful. You’re gone and not another word left one’s lips after what he said.

He places his palm across his face out of frustration. Too late is what he is right now. He fails to function more and more after minutes passed. He tries to go on with his work but he keep remembering the scene with you earlier. How your beautiful face of hope turned into an expression of agony and pain. None of this helps, “I have to fix this,” he murmurs to himself, afraid that you might grow distant as time passes by.

You wipe your eyes, fixing your appearance in an attempt to look decent before going to the mess hall to get your dinner.

Armin approaches you first, asking your condition. You’re clueless about what condition it is that he means but you figure it’s probably his immediate observation of your feelings at the second.

“Are you alright?” His eyes are curious and concerned, but you wave him off with a small smile, “I’m fine, Armin. You get too observant at times, don’t you? What’s for dinner?”

Joining the others, you eat slowly. You can’t help but think of your partner. This causes your stomach to swirl. You try your best to get him out of your mind.

“These mashed potatoes are awesome!” Sasha exclaims, munching like lightning. Christa giggles, finding Sasha’s addiction with potatoes adorable.

Eren smiles but stays quiet. Seems he is still affected by the previous expedition. He catches you looking at him and you smile.

“Hey, are you okay?” he asks. You nodded and ask him back, “How about you? Haven’t moved on from recently?”

He gives a small reassuring smile, “I’m coping.”

Conversations came and went. Everyone returns to their quarters to get some sleep, and you’re left all alone. The deafening sound of silence has dominated your ears. You heave out a sigh.

You finally erased Levi from your head for a while, but when you go to the kitchen for a tea, you almost immediately spot across the room the man you’re so desperately trying to avoid, sipping his own cup of tea while leaning against the table. It’s the one you made for him earlier, you could tell by the choice of teacup. But shouldn’t it be cold by now?

Abort.

You try to leave unnoticed but you hear him call you.

“Speak to me,” his tired eyes bore to your own broken ones, secretly pleading you to talk to him. He had dismissed his uniform jacket and only wore his undershirt. The sight of him just has to tear your heart into several pieces. You need to stay strong. You don’t want to shatter in front of him, or you’ll only end up burdening him.

I’m just a bother, after all.

You refuse to talk, so you leave the room in a rush. You feel your eyes mist again. You blink a few times to stop the tears from forming and run to the women’s quarters instead of Levi’s room, the one you both share every night without hitch.

The bed below Mikasa’s has been vacant ever since you stayed in Levi’s room. In your head, you thank all the walls that no one new had been recruited to your squad so that you can still use your bed from before for desperate times like this.

Everyone else is already asleep so you don’t have to answer their interrogations about what a miracle it is for you to spend the night in your old bed, without the Captain.

As you lay down, you close your eyes in hopes of falling asleep quickly, but your bed just feels lonely and sad. The mattress feels emptier than ever, and the atmosphere in the room feels dark, even if your comrades are complete in the same room.

You begin to toss and turn, recalling the scenes from earlier. This isn’t any help, but then again, being in the same room as Levi won’t do any of you good. You’d just distract him, like what you can only do.

On the other hand, behind your locked doors stands Levi, aiming to knock. And he did, but no one responds. Why? Why did you not respond? He knew you went there. He just knows it, because where else would you be? He knocks one more time and that’s when he guesses that you might be sleeping already. He knows better than to disrespect his other comrades’ privacy and enter without permission. With his conclusion, he finally heads back to his room and tries to finish all the messy paperwork, looking at the door once in a while, hoping for you to enter and ask him to rest with you. But you didn’t.

Tick, Tock.

The sound of the clock’s hands ticking feeds on the silence of the room. You wake up and there’s light already.

You shoot up from the bed. Mikasa is already awake, as you know she is the earliest of birds. She looks at you with amusement, and you roll your eyes.

“What in the world happened between you and Captain Levi for you to come back here?” she asks. You answered her with a grimace.

You change back into a spare uniform you had left in the quarters before heading to the mess hall once again. Levi is already there, seated with Erwin and the others. Hange offers you a seat unfortunately across Levi which you accept defeatedly, for there are no more available seats anywhere. Avoiding him is hard, and you should probably deal with constantly encountering him today. You have duties like cleaning in the morning and training after lunch, so a lingering Captain is not unnatural.

“What time did you sleep last night?” Levi asks, which you ignore. You scoop the hot soup and blow the steam off before sipping it. “Answer me,” no one could hear you conversing—scratch that—him speaking. Everyone from the table had a discussion that doesn’t include yhe two of you.

“Why did you not answer my knocks?” he asks once more but you only sip your tea. You so desperately wanted to answer him with a sarcastic, “because maybe I’m asleep, don’t you think?” but you stop yourself from doing so and stayed quiet.

His eyebrows twitch in annoyance. You think he has to deal with this. And he will, because there’s no way your pride will let you talk to him. Although you’re tough enough to convince yourself not to say a single word to him, you still feel guilt rushing through your veins. Aren’t times like these the times when you should understand him the most and swallow your pride?

But he said it himself didn’t he? He wants you to get off of his neck and quit pestering him, and you’re just one to follow.

You shake the thought away and continue eating. Soon after you finish, you all proceed to your cleaning duties. Apparently and unluckily, as if fate just doesn’t want to cooperate with you, you‘re assigned to clean the Captain’s room which is just downright unfair. At this point, talking to him will be inevitable.

You sigh exasperatedly with cleaning equipment in your hands. You try to convince Jean who hates cleaning the stables to exchange tasks, but he says he’d prefer picking horseshit with his bare hands than have to clean the Captain’s office. Aside from him, no one wants to swap tasks with you, knowing how hard it is to satisfy the Captain with some mediocre cleaning skills.

Accepting defeat once again, you knock three times before waiting for Levi’s reply, “name and business,” his certain cold voice replies.

“It’s me, I was assigned to clean your office.” Silence follows. You figure that you should enter and you don’t fail to notice the slightest smirk in Levi’s lips.

What an asshole.

Brushing aside the man’s presence, you go on and start sweeping the floor. You just want to finish this quickly to be able to get away from him.

“You’re sweeping too fast, you’re not picking up all the dust,” Levi remarks. You furrow your brows and roll your eyes heavenwards in total annoyance, “do it all over again,” he orders.

And you obey, quietly. Besides, it wouldn’t favor you if you object. You’d have to speak.

Meanwhile, Levi couldn’t take his eyes off you. He’s supposed to finish his “work” today but his mind is somewhere else. Of course he hasn’t forgotten yesterday. But what he said was not his intention.

You begin to mop.

“Did you wash that with soap?” he asks which you, once again, ignore. This is getting on his nerves. He wants to hear your voice. He wants to say he was sorry, but he couldn’t pick up the strength to do so because he’s afraid. Afraid he might hurt you again with his reckless words. Actually, no. He’s more than certain that he’d never throw you such words again. Rather, he’s more afraid that you would just shrug off his apology and keep giving him the cold shoulder. Then, he chooses not to speak anymore. Silence engulfs the room.

Tick, tock.

Once you finish cleaning, you leave the room. He didn’t even try to stop you from leaving or even just speak again. Why would he even do that anyways?

Afternoon comes and training quickly starts. Your hand to hand combat with Eren attracted a lot of attention from your mates. You’re now sweaty, fists tightly balled mid air. Eren’s fighting stance is now a little sloppy as he catches his breath. You chuckle at the sight. It’s now time to end this battle before he gets exhausted even more, you think with pure concern, an image of a tired Eren flashing through your head.

“Oi! Finish this already!” Jean cheers, on your side.

“You have to beat her, Eren! She just becomes stronger and stronger every session!” Sasha jokingly shouts with Armin laughing a bit on his own.

As the fight becomes more and more heated, you aim for his guts in the stomach as you perform a perfect uppercut once he’s distracted. And of course, you eventually win with that final move. He lays on the ground helplessly, not being able to stand up for ten seconds.

You offer your hand to him. He accepts it and you help him stand up. Slowly, the crowd gathered around you disperses and goes their separate ways. You stay with Eren. You’re fond of talking with your opponent right after a match like this.

“You seriously have to teach me some of your skills!” Eren says, catching his breath. You’re both heading inside.

You chuckle, “You’re getting better, kid,” you ruffle his hair. His shoulders slump down in annoyance. He’s well aware that he’s far from your abilities, not to mention, you’re the second in command of the Captain.

“I don’t understand how you’re shorter than I am, but you still manage to beat me and ruffle my hair like this!” You both laugh at his statement.

From your peripheral vision, you see Levi standing with crossed arms by your far left, looking at you and your companion. His dark aura radiates, taking over the atmosphere of the open field. Something tells you that he’s awfully jealous, but for what reason? Eren quickly notices.

“Hey, I think you should go to Captain right now, I don’t want him to think…” he hesitantly states.

“No, it’s okay,” you calmly assure him. A few moments later and it’s already dinner time, and you proceed to the mess hall once again.

You sit beside Eren, conversing with him about a couple of military equipment. You notice that Levi sit in front of you again, but you pay no attention, even though guilt cripples through your veins. You always sit beside him every meal, but for the fourth time, you don’t.

You continue to discuss about certain materials that the 3DMG is composed of, educating Eren of their functions. As you sip on your tea, you notice Levi staring firmly at you, his gaze never leaving. But you refuse to acknowledge his steel grey eyes, standing by your principle of giving him the silent treatment.

You finish your meal and get up to bring your plates to the sink. Just as you’re about to leave, you’re approached by the sight of your Captain glaring at your soul.

You’re at a loss for words. Not that you want to talk anyway.

“I’m telling you, if you still don’t speak to me…” he says, blocking your way.

Levi crosses his arms. “You’re enjoying the whole day with that brat, aren’t you?” he begins to converse. “What are you even talking about? The both of you? You were talking non-stop, woman.” You stare at him with an emotionless expression. Slight anger and frustration dance in his tired and sleepless eyes. This only confirms your thoughts from earlier that he is, indeed, jealous. “And you even ended that match with him because you didn’t want to drain his energy,” he adds. He knows, he can read his lovely, caring girl so well. You care about everyone half the time, and he doesn’t want to admit, but right now, he is jealous.

He’s wearing his white button down shirt and suspenders. He has never failed to attract you with even the most common outfits and uniform. How can he be just so hot?

You shake your thoughts away, trying to walk past him but he grips your wrist and pulls you back in front of him. “Tell me, have you perhaps… had a change of heart?” Surprised, you quickly look at your lover’s eyes, and find they’re filled with loneliness and sorrow. You feel your heart shattering into thin little shreds. I can’t handle this sight!

You weaken with his touch, you want to tell him no, you could never do that and that you love him and him only, but you stay silent that you’re almost convinced you were now mute.

“Shit,” he curses, ruffling his hair out of frustration before he drags you away from that place. Your heart races and you couldn’t think straight. You miss him, and you can’t deny how hard a day is without him.

Tick, Tock.

The next thing you know you’re in his immensely cold and silent office, pinned to the wall like a prey being feasted on by its predator.

“You’re driving me crazy, and I hate it, woman,” his eyes are dark, like his emotions have been making him lose it. You look away, avoiding his gaze but to no avail. He lifts your chin and direct your face to his.

“Look, this cold treatment you’re giving me is not helping anyone. I’m more distracted than I could ever be and I haven’t finished the same damn pile of paperwork from yesterday until now. So just talk to me, and let’s get out off this mess,” he calmly states in a quiet manner, as if trying to own his mistakes by acting well behaved.

By this time, you know he already regrets his previous actions. And even though you’re no stranger to Levi’s tall walls and his apathetic behavior, you just had to make him voice out his apologies.

“Speak…” You look at him in his eyes filled with mixed emotions. Rage, loss, guilt, sorrow, doubt. You’re the only one among everyone who can see this because you’re the only one he can be vulnerable with. Once again, you feel your heart break into pieces.

“Levi…” His face lightened up with your call. Your voice is soft and mellow. Finally, you spoke! It was such a torture, a day without your beautiful voice. The poor Captain is glad to hear you again, but is taken aback by your next words, so he cuts you off before you could even finish. “Maybe we should just—”

“Fuck! Wait! Don’t fucking do this to me, I’m sorry! I’m a jerk… I know, I know. Give me another chance, hey…” Your eyes widen at his pleas. Overflowing fear and nervousness are written in his misty steel orbs. He frantically holds your hands and you could feel his desperation.

“What?” you ask in genuine confusion. You’re glad he said his sorries, but why is he acting like you were going to leave him?

“Come on… don’t you dare leave me. I’m sorry.” And there you could tell how afraid he is. He’s afraid by your choice of words, he thought you were going to leave him and now he’s so desperate of making you stay.

You slowly rest your palms on his cheeks, “Levi… you got this wrong, I was just going to—” He places his hands on top of yours before interrupting again.

“Hey… you don’t have to end things, let’s not be so sudden with our decisions and let’s talk about this—” his voice is weak and silent that you can’t bear it anymore. “Levi! I am not going to end things and leave you! Have you gone crazy?” you scold in a manner of wishing he would just stop panicking.

“I was going to say that maybe we should just be careful next time and not be so reckless with our words. You just didn’t let me finish!” you chuckle as you notice his realization. He winces, his glowing eyes now dried from the threatening tears. You’re glad not a single drop escaped, you can’t see him crying or you’ll lose it.

“Fuck, I sounded so desperate,” he hisses and averts his gaze, making you drop your hands. You can almost feel your heart melt. He regrets his mistakes and at the same time, he’s horrified to lose you.

“I’m sorry,” he mumbles in an almost inaudible tone. You want him to look you in the eye. His apathetic self have caused him to say the expression almost never, and you want to feel his sincerity in a rare occasion like this. You guide his face to your own. “What is it? I didn’t hear,” you tease, playing innocent.

He grimaces, an indication that he doesn’t want to repeat. But for you, he will. “I said I’m sorry, so don’t do that again,” his tone returns to his popular authoritative one, and at that moment you know you should obey.

“Don’t do what?” You bite your lips to stifle a smirk. He is so amusing when helpless, you’re beginning to think this was a good idea!

“Give me the cold shoulder like I’m some stranger or whatever the fuck,” he furrows his brows as he glares straight into your eyes.

“Alright, Captain.” You giggle and tiptoe to reach his soft lips with your own, kissing him intensely like how you missed him. And he answers your kisses like how he missed you, too.

You fucking resent your exes. Yes, you do. They can be the pettiest creatures in the whole world if they wanted. Talk about the epitome of being a dickhead. And that one certain Captain is no exception. He’s the worst of the worst, actually.

You sigh exasperatedly as you dispose of the horses’ wastes for the nth time. Yes, you’re on stable duty yet again just for removing your jacket and wearing a tank top as undershirt, on a hot, summer day. Everybody’s complaining about the scorching weather, and you could say he shouldn’t blame you for wanting to be comfortable, but the Captain chooses to be a prick, saying it’s a violation nonetheless.

You’re not that naive to not know that he’s especially going hard on you for some reason. Heck he’s not even ordering anyone else around but you.

“It’s fucking burning and this top is decent enough for a uniform!” you murmur to yourself like a child, scooping the last dump while utterly vexed. Lately, he just keeps going for the littlest mistakes and you can’t help but suspect that he must be holding some kind of grudge against you. Whatever it is, you have zero ideas other than one.

You finish refilling the water buckets and replacing the hay with new ones. Finally done with your work, you close your eyes shut, breathing in the fresh air. You then stand straight and stretch out your limbs with all your might, spinning your head to crack some stiffened bones in the neck. After hearing a faint popping sound, you moan in satisfaction. Surely, this should be enough for a clean freak like him.

You give your work a glance one last time, admiring the neatly scoured walls and clean flooring all done by you. You want to think that the horses are grateful with what you did to their stalls as they neigh. Atleast someone’s got to thank you, right?

You steer to leave the stables and head inside. A good shower can make up for all the trouble. With that thought in mind, you go for your quarters to bring a spare uniform with you in the bathroom. Once you’ve stripped off your sticky clothes, you start to wash yourself. The cold liquid hitting your sweaty skin feels refreshing, and at that moment, you decide to stay for longer than one should take in showering. You earned this anyway, cleaning the stables all by yourself first thing in the morning.

Rinsing off the last of soap from your body, you’re left with nothing to do but keep drowning yourself with water. Staring into the wall, the lack of task makes you think back to the past. It’s actually been two whole months since you broke up with Levi. You still remember clearly how you ended it, stating how you don’t really seem like lovers anyway and how it could only hinder both your work and his. It wasn’t that taboo having a relationship with a higher ranking officer like how you thought it might be to other people’s eyes, but it isn’t the best either. All you can say is that you know what you did was for the best. But why is he acting like that? Unable to find a reason, you groan and brush aside the thoughts.

Call it slacking off, you don’t really care, but you spent a good one hour or so in there. All freshened up, your mood improved a bit. But just when you’re about to take a turn leading to the mess hall, the devil himself shows up infront of you.

His brows are furrowed as he leans his back against the wall with both arms crossed, infamous steel grey eyes, that though unreadable, pierces into your soul easily. What now? You want to roll your eyes so bad but force yourself to give a salute instead. Act up and he’ll make you clean the whole headquarters for fuck’s sake.

“Sir,” you firmly call. Levi eyes you from head to toe and quickly notices from your damp hair that you enjoyed yourself with a leisurely bath.

“While you were relaxing, everybody had hand-to-hand combat on the training grounds,” he says, obviously waiting for an acceptable explanation from you. His eyes are locked on you immensely, it’s like you’re being rooted to the ground. Great, now you missed out on a whole training session. Caught in action, even.

“Sorry, sir. It took me hours cleaning the stables and wanted to tidy myself before lunch,” you explain truthfully, staring straight ahead. A wave of silence takes over for a couple seconds as he stares you down and you avoid his gaze. It suddenly hits you that there’s only the two of you in the hall, making his stare feel more intimidating than ever, and it irritates you so much.

Part of him accepts your reason, really. Being one for good hygiene, it’s good that you chose to be presentable before facing food, but still, there is no need to take too long in doing so. Besides, it’s also not an excuse to skip training, which he cannot condone.

“Laps after lunch. No stopping until I say so,” he curtly orders and finally walks past you, leaving you alone and frustrated. He definitely knows that you just hopped out of shower and decides to butcher that. How wonderful.

A few more seconds go by and you’re standing in the very same place, feeling your blood boil slowly. Your eyes shut in annoyance, fists clenching. A groan escapes your mouth as you proceed to the dining area, readying yourself for the torturous hours.

About a hundred and who-knows-how-many laps later, you could feel your knees trembling. It’s only a matter of time before you collapse for endlessly running under the searing heat of the sun. With a flock of birds chirping as if to accompany you, and warm air whipping past your cheeks as you jog ahead, step by step, your hatred towards the Captain grows bigger. You can’t say he’s being irrational, but this is just too much. He’s obviously using his power to throw the book at you for some unknown reason.

Without realizing, you fall to the ground, still fully conscious but vision blearing. Lying on your side, you hunch over to curl yourself into a ball, puffing and blowing like crazy to catch your breath. Damn it, you’re exhausted.

On the other hand, the infamous ravenhead observes you from a distance. When you halted before he gave his word, he clicks his tongue and makes his way to your dead beat form. Before you know it, Levi is already looming over you. Of course, it’s like the situation couldn’t get any worse!

As much as you want to defend yourself right away to avoid further punishment, you’re taken aback once he offers you a hand to which you accept, but not before gawking at it dumbfoundedly for a good ten seconds, though. You didn’t know he still has a little kindness inside him, or maybe he’s guilty?

“I don’t recall permitting you to take your precious time and rest, cadet,” he informs, voice stone cold. Oh, yes, just when you thought he still has kindness left inside him.

Your whole body is cramping, but there’s no way in hell you’d let him see any more of what he’s done to you, so you try to conceal it. You fight him back with a glare, “Sorry, sir. Maybe if you didn’t give orders after orders I wouldn’t naturally collapse,” your tone is not even a bit obedient.

You have no excuses left, nor do you want to just give in and admit your mistake either because it will only probably feed his power tripping ego, and to hell with that.

His eyebrows twitch, figuring you’ve no intentions to reason with him. Your stare conveys what you want to say to him that you choose not to put into words; you don’t care at all. He’s acting like a child and you’re not up for that. He might be your superior, but there’s no damn way his actions could be justified.

“Barking like a dog, I see.” He eyes you one last time before taking his leave. Once he’s turned his back on you, your mouth agapes, thinking full well that he’s finally letting go of his obnoxious demeanor. No more orders? To say the least, it was too early to celebrate.

“Dish duty after dinner.” You wish you hadn’t heard it.

You went along with the assumption that the Captain already lifted your former punishment and not long after, dinner arrives.

“What are you eating?” Levi questions, one brow raised and staring you down. He gives your cup of tea and half a bread a scrutinizing look. He’s sure as hell there aren’t any walls breached recently resulting to food shortage, so why are you having almost nothing?

Meanwhile, you guess that now he just wants to meddle with your business. You swear, once you find him alone, you’ll absolutely grab the chance to kill him. Or so you want to think. He should be thankful you’re not one to cause a scene.

“I’m on a diet,” you shortly inform before sipping on your tea. Not really. You’re just drained of appetite and all intention to eat because of everything he’s made you done.

He doesn’t seem to like your answer and when you give him a glance, his face seems to have a permanent scowl written on it. “You call that a diet? That’s not healthy,” he says.

“Now you care?” you try your hardest to not roll your eyes. Bantering with the Captain is already turning a few heads enough, you don’t want to stir any more commotion.

“I don’t need a malnourished soldier around here, cadet, so you better start eating in proper proportions,” his tone is sharp and strict, as if indicating he was in charge and you’re just one to follow, which pisses you off the most. How can he treat you roughly one moment then act all concerned the other? At this point, you can’t even believe that you used to go out with him in the past.

“Well, it won’t be quite some time before I go malnourished with you ordering me around like a dog. Now if you will excuse me, sir, I have dish duty to attend to,” you sass him out unenthusiastically in one go before collecting your dirtied china and heading to the kitchen.

The way his grip on his teacup tightens doesn’t escape your attention, and you try to stifle in a smirk, unsure of sure how to react. You finally got back at him in a way, but you’re not entirely certain if it’s a good thing or a bad one.

A week has passed since you talked back to the Captain. Lucky you he didn’t reprimand you forthwith, but not exactly lucky because his power tripping has only worsened since then. It took you another stable duty after dinner because of “staying outside for too long, it’s almost curfew”, as the Captain said, for you to finally realize you’ve had enough of his bullshit and it’s about time you confront him in his office.

It might be past midnight for all you know, and the dead silence is eating up the corridors that you wonder for a brief moment if he’s still awake. Considering him, he most probably is.

Not even bothering with a knock, you set foot inside his study. As if to confirm your thoughts, your eyes immediately dart to his form sitting on his chair with paperwork. Even if it’s not all that bright inside his office with only a lone candle and the midnight moon serving as light, you quickly catch sight of his tired eyes and the bags darkening under them. He’s loosened up like he’s up for an all-nighter, discarding the jacket and leaving his partially unbuttoned dress shirt on.

You knew it, he still hasn’t rid himself of his bad habit that is overworking. It doesn’t matter to you now, though. Maybe in the past you would’ve given him a little scolding for it, but that’s not even what you’re here for in the first place.

Remembering your sole purpose of being here, your glare hardens. You choose to stay infront of the door right after locking it for you don’t know what you might do if you get close to him. Aggravated to the brim, you don’t even bother putting up a soldier front and a half-assed salute.

“Barging in your superior’s office in late hours past curfew without even stating your name and business, you’ve got some guts,” he comments, extinguishing his table candlelight with a pinch of his fingers. The moment you laid your eyes on him with a prickly gaze, he’s already identified who you are and what you’re here for.

“Cut me some slack, will you?” you complain bluntly, the clear disrespect in your voice ringing. Levi raises his head and takes note of your attire. You’re on your nightwear, barefooted. Insane brat, he thinks. You’re surely in for an informal visit. He cocks a brow and decides to listen to your rambling.

You take his silence as a sign to continue. “I’m surprised you can get so childish, Captain. Look at you, loads of paperwork on your table but still got nothing decent to do other than abuse your comrades,” you hiss despite having a difficult time creating eye contact thanks to the darkness.

In a flash, he’s made his way across the room and stopped just face to face with you, the glowing full moon casting abstract shadows over his raging expression.

“What the fuck are you going on about?” he fumes, fist slamming into the wooden door, locking you in place. He’s slightly impressed you didn’t so much as flinch.

But he couldn’t bear it. Something about you visiting him in his office in the middle of the night ticks him off to ridiculous measures. It ignites a memory he detests.

His face is dangerously close, making you feel like you’re about to fall on your knees due to intimidation. You fight it back, refusing to show him you’re affected.

“Oh nothing, just really delighted that my ex, who unfortunately happens to be the Captain, is exploiting his rank and commanding his subordinate to his wish,” you spit straight into his face, sarcasm laced gracefully in your tone. He has no right to be furious when you’re the one who’s been suffering under his irrational commands.

“Are you complaining?” he asks. You’d think he’s being oblivious if not for the fact that he’s currently towering over you, eyes as unreadable as ever.

“I didn’t know you were one to hold a grudge against people who dumped you, Levi,” you frankly say, dropping the honorific. You’re sick of beating around the bush, you just want answers. You see the pique brewing in his beautiful eyes.

“What do you really want? Is this because I left you?” you continue upon seeing him open his mouth. You’re definitely pushing his buttons now, interrupting him when he’s about to speak. There’s a limit to how much you can rub him up the wrong way, but right now, you’re just as pissed as he is.

“You were the one who wanted to be in a relationship. You’re a grown woman, you should have known what you gotten yourself into,” he seethes, shutting you up for a couple moments. He actually confessed that it was all about the past?

You admit, you really were the one to make the first move way back. You initiated the motives, which makes it all the more reasonable for you to end it. Right?

“It’s because things weren’t working out, Levi. You should know when and where to end things!” you argue. There’s no way in hell you’ll let him have his way. You genuinely thought you ended things with him maturely.

“You should have understood that I can’t be with you all the time. I have important matters to attend to,” he says, looking straight into your eyes, fierce gaze burning into your soul. You fail to notice how your breath keeps hitching ever since he walked up to you. Your knees are slowly turning into jelly under his menace.

No, you can’t waver. “How irresponsible can you be? Picking a petty reason to end it even,” he adds.

“Alright, high and mighty Captain. Sorry I hurt that little ego of yours, but what’s done is done, so can you stop being such a dick to me now?” you roll your eyes, not even the least sorry.

“For the record, things were working out. You’re just an impatient brat,” he adds calmly. A brat? He’s the one acting like a kid here if anything!

“It’s all in the past! And that doesn’t explain why you’re burning me to the ground with your punishments!” you complain, blood slowly curling as time passes.

“Maybe if you weren’t a lazy little runt, slacking off just because you feel like it,” his eyes narrow, taking a step closer to push you back against the door.

“Excuse me? You keep ordering me around like some kind of slave, do you expect me to not drop dead?” you protest, beginning to see red. You reach out your hands to push him away. He was just too close, you didn’t like it.

He beats you to it, grabbing both your wrists and pins them to the wall. Your eyes widen and you try to break free. He takes another step forward to fully immobilize you in place.

“I won’t be needing an impotent soldier who can’t even do simple tasks. I’m removing you from my squad,” he blurts out of nowhere, and you feel your heart drop for a second. This is what you’re talking about when you say he’s an exploitative piece of shit.

You gawp at him, not knowing what to say. Being in his squad for years and years, you know you deserve your spot there. But for him to remove you for little to no reason? Damn, you want to kill him and his irrationality so bad. To do that, first, you have to free yourself.

“Fuck you,” are the only words you muster. Guess you’ll have to pull the big guns after all.

thank you!! im doing perfect, and i hope you as well. looking back, it was really hard for me to pour in as much time into writing as i did before august of , and i felt nothing but pressure when i forced myself to write even when i had so little time. i take passion in writing, obvly, and i never want to associate a feeling of obligation into that passion else it wont be the same anymore. so yeah, that long break really did help and ily for checking on me :’) anw have a great rest of your day <3

i know im popping out of nowhere after almost a year of being AWOL and literally straight up breaking promises of continuing to write and working on requests,,, but i accidentally checked my account today despite avoiding it after months and found this cute message from my inbox that i just couldnt ignore for the love of god &#;&#; ilyt anon and mwah as well!!

quick ud: reqs from my inbox are effectively pulling me back into writing after disappearing (due to my overwhelming hectic sched, a lot happened), and my apologies for ghosting you guys. although my followers went from 8h to 3k in a span of months while i was away, hopefully you guys are still here when i finally post. i now have the free time to pick up on my works and start on your reqs, just need and missing the drive and the affirmation.

Anonymous asked:

Oh ookay. Can I request a headcanon then? &#;

yes lets give it a shot!! send it my way &#;

Hi sweeties, just passing by! I’m sorry I’ve only answered one request so far. I’m currently writing the second part of my fic, Shelter (I know I said it’s a two-parter but I couldn’t fit them all in two so it’s going to be three parts now lmao). Once I finish the second part, I’ll be off to make your requests, I promise! I already have the plot outlines for some of them so I hope you stay tuned!

Though I know a lot of you don’t mind at all (and thank you for that), please pardon the slow pacing. I’ll be busier from now on with real life matters, especially on weekdays, so the weekly posts might hitch.

I haven’t really been reading these past months because I’m super engrossed with writing, but a reader of mine came to me with their on-going Reiner x Reader fic, and although I’m more of a Levi ~stan~ haha, I am more than willing to check out my readers’ works! ^^

So if anyone of you’re interested, you can find it on @your-wings-of-freedom titled Thunderstorms. They’ll have Levi x Reader fics soon as well!

That’s all, have a great day ahead! &#;

Anonymous asked:

Do you write headcanons or just fics?

ive never written a headcanon before bc i dont really know how it works. like there are some that are literally scenarios squeezed in a bullet list, then there are some that are opinions/personal take on the character about the request or situation given. sooo idk how i should do it without it turning into a fic, but i can defs give it a shot if you want! itll be a perfect breather for me since i always write long works and ill be able to post it right away! ^^

So, it’s Fic Writer’s Appreciation Day…

I know this is coming in a little later, than other’s posts about it, but if we really take a step back - we should be appreciation fic writers all the time, not just on one day.

Some people do whatever they can to support people like me - writers of fics that post and share their hobby with the world - and that takes a helluva lot of guts to do. The world’s a scary place, and the people in it can be hella nasty, but we keep posting anyway.

So without further adieu, I’ll get started (’cause this could be a long list…)!

(Also, please take these lightly. I’m not great with words, and I can be awfully awkward, so bewarned~)

First that comes to mind is @ellana-ravenwood. She’s an amazing writer, and I’m not going to lie by saying she wasn’t a huge inspiration for me to start writing and posting - because she was, and still is. So, Ella, if you’re reading this, I want you to know how much you mean to me - and no doubt others too. You’re awesome. Don’t ever doubt yourself.

Next is @writefightandflightclub. My fellow Poe Hoe. My ride or die. I don’t care if you don’t see me the same, you’re a homie to me, and I would kill or be killed for you - I swear that. You always manage to say the best stuff, and I have no idea how you do it, but you better not stop.

@gingerwritess is my go-to for Loki fics. I will forever proclaim your talent, Theo, and how you always manage to write Loki so well. Honestly - did you sell your soul or something? If you did I wouldn’t be surprised. We love your work!

Naturally @propertyofpoeandbucky is on this list, and not just because she’s an absolute doll. Both her and @whirlybirbs have this thing where they get into a new and almost completely unrelated fandom from the one I followed them for, and let’s just say - Lani - I have never felt such a pull to Spencer Reid in my whole damn life up until you started writing for him. I swear -

@fizzyxcustard and @cassiabaggins both post some slapping Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fics, and they both always manage to pull me into the void known as the Durin Hole, because damn - if somehow their writing doesn’t do that one day, that will be the day I am taken into the darkness and die.

@sunmoonandbucky, @cake-writes, and @imanuglywombat - the Bucky Babes. All three of you are honestly such good writers, and even better people. I love you three so much, and you always deliver - not the content we want - but the content we deserve. I send my love to you, hang in there guys!

@haikyuudreaming. Kris. Sweetie. Your headcanons make my day. They always make me feel better, even if they’re filled with angst - and I can’t help it, they just do, so we’ll have to just put up with that fact. You write our volleyball boys so well, and I love you so for it.

@quilledinkpen. The more I get to know you the more we have in common. I swear if we end up being seperated twins or something I wouldn’t even flinch at it. You’re writing is great, and you’re doing so well.

@commanderserwin, @xxsmokeyy, and @attackonfics, you all feed my Attack on Titan thirst so well. You all write beautifully, and convey the feelings that would come with being in this anime so well that I often find myself cutting off from the real world and being right there - you know? Thank you, for being able to do that.

@keiqos and @keilemlucent, you both are my go-to sin-bin bingers. I’m a Hawks gal through-and-through, but damn - when you write for others I read them too, and I love them just as much. I feel like I need to wash my eyes out, but I guess it’s my fault I can’t help going back for more, huh?

In short, I love all your writing so much. More than words can really say. So consider this me also sending you as much hugs and love as you need!

Make sure to stay safe, and healthy too! As much as I love your writing - you always come first! So take care, and enjoy your day/evening.

Much love once more! - Nemo

huh? do you see me right now? i literally just died because i cannotSBXBCHDM PLS i can only handle so much &#; this is the first time i got mentioned in an appreciation post and this was so flattering! thank you a ton!! &#;&#;&#;

"Your love, is it greater for him than it is or ever will be for me ?" Levi's voice grew cold over the past hour.

Yelling and screaming stole my voice as I reply with a whisper.

"I will never love you like I loved him. My heart fluttered at his sight, my throat dried at his words, my skin tingled at his touch.

I won't promise that you are the first one I have ever loved because that would be a lie, I loved him with every thing I had.

However, one day the sight of him made me fret, his words that were so loving became full of disgust, his touch Well his touch wasn't as gentle. But I stayed, I still loved him.

It's true I gave him everything and received nothing, I wanted nothing, just his love, I thought I had it.

I thought.

When the sight of you made my heart ache, yours also ached for me, when I doubted your words, you repeated them, when I flinched at your every move, you'd  gladly prove once again a touch could be gentle.

It must have been difficult, loving a broken girl, but you stayed.

The tears that use to come at night from sadness now only come from happiness, to be gone, to be away, to be safe.

So, to answer your question.

My love was never greater for him than it is or ever will be for you."

Summary: you’re an untruly scout in Levi’s squad and he let’s you know exactly how he feels when he pays you a visit during your punishment task

Word count: k

image

All hell broke loose if it was one of the worse days.

Your hot-headed disposition was a challenge to deal with in the first place, but if you felt a tad annoyed that day… Let’s just say punishments were as natural to you as breathing air.

It took slightest things to piss off Captain Levi – an irritated glance after he scolded you, a quiet remark you’d use to talk back and he, of course, would hear it. Simply put – you were disobedient. Yet even then you were an indispensable soldier – resourceful, intelligent, and absolutely fearless. Much like a wildfire – once you blaze, it’s hard to put you out.

Even so, Captain Levi eventually chose you to be a part of his new squad. Yes, he never encountered such an erratic human being that’s basically impossible to control, the traits that go against his every bullet point in describing a proper soldier, but he knew he would be an absolute fool if he’d go that massive potential of yours go to waste.

Countless times he wanted to kick you off the squad for being an unbearable brat, yet he didn’t. Often, you yourself wondered why.

&#;

The squad has been on a minor expedition outside the walls for training purposes, so all of you were headed to the nearest cottage safe house.

After a tiring day of training, when the sun was setting down, you were all sitting outside, enjoying the last remnants of warmth in the air. Captain was sauntering inside the cottage, probably inspecting each crack and crevice after you all spend the first half of the day cleaning it.

It would be such a nice evening if Eren and Mikasa would argue a bit quieter. In fact, Mikasa was calmly saying something to Eren, while the latter, being basically as hot-headed as you, was arguing against her every word.

It pissed you off when they were like that, because it’s obvious Mikasa would do anything for Eren. Either he is so daft and doesn’t get it, or he doesn’t care. You never admitted to yourself that you’re jealous that Eren has someone who cares for him, while you have no one. Not even your family which was once very big – you had lots of cousins, aunts and uncles. Now, only you remain.

“Oi,” you exclaimed. “could you just tone it down a bit?”

Eren’s fiery gaze snapped towards you in a second. “Stay out of this!”

Now, you knew it’s none of your business, but you hated being talked to like that, much less ordered. You stood up in a swift motion from where you were leaning against a bench and turned your body to face Eren.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’ve no interest in what you’re crying about, Jaeger, but you’re not even listening to Mikasa, that much is obvious.”

Others were starting to pay attention too – they knew that when the two of you started bickering, often it’d turn into something more… interesting.

“You know what else is obvious?” he asked, his voice challenging. “That you act all brave and fearless, but in reality you’re just a restless child acting as if she lost her dummy!”

You felt that familiar tickling feeling of your temper rising, firing you up until you eventually lose yourself and act upon instincts that keep you alive and going.

You chuckled curtly. “Me? You’re calling me a child?”

Tauntingly, you’ve stepped closer to him. Eren knew that it’s not smart to wind you up like that, you’re still friends, good friends – it just so happened that you’re both in a bad mood today.

“At least I can wipe my own ass without Mikasa’s help.” you finished your sentence just before Eren grabbed a fistful of your collar and roughly pulled you flush against him, both of your impulsive auras conflicting with each other.

You growled as you pushed him away in a swift, forceful motion, earning a murderous glare from him.

It took so little to get you angry. Even though you pushed him away, that unruly part of yours stepped close to him again as you dug your forefinger in his chest in a threatening manner.

“Don’t touch me, you, whiny bitch,” you spat out, your voice dripping with venom – you were already blazing, and there was no going back.

Eren slapped your hand away. “Who you’re calling a whiny bitch? I wasn’t the one who cried into the pillow for two weeks after driving Reiner and Bertholdt away!”

Now, you can be reckless, wild, fiery… But Eren can be cruel.

The reason you were so devastated after finding out your two best friends were your mortal enemies was because with them you felt like you’ve had family again – both of them reminded you of your older brothers. You shared your feelings with Eren in confidence, and he just blurted it out in front of everyone.

“Fuck it,” you thought as you launched a punch at his face with a primal scream.

By now the others knew not to interfere in your fights, not even Mikasa. God knows they tried, and it made it even worse.

Eren fell to the ground with a hard thud before you quickly straddled him and lifted up your bent hand to launch another punch at his bloody nose.

The bastard was quick to react nevertheless as he met your fist with his palm and squeezed it, slapping you off of him with his free hand in a swift motion. The second your own body collided with the grass you were already scrambling with your hands and feet to get up.

As you turned to Eren with the intention to ram him to the ground again, he was already on his legs as well. The others were still shouting for you two to break it up, knowing that it’s only a matter of time before Captain Levi shows up.

Not thinking straight, you did exactly what you wanted, you launched yourself at him and picked him like a flower stem, both of you flying to the ground again, followed by a sickening thump.

Your vision was getting blurry from all the rage and adrenaline as you lifted up your fist, charged with savage energy, ready to collide with Eren’s already battered face, yet it never happened. It never happened because someone else was gripping your wrist so hard, almost stopping the blood flow.

You snapped your head back to see murderous look in Captain’s gray eyes.

Still gripping your wrist, he jerked you back like a rag doll, painfully sending you to the ground, away from Eren.

It fell so quiet you could hear the clouds passing.

Levi sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I will kill both of you.”

“Right,” he continued. “when everyone’s going to sleep after this long, tiring day, you brats are going to sweep this house clean again. I don’t care how long it takes you. Eren takes right wing, Y/N takes left.”

He glared daggers at the two of you before going back to the cottage, just like that. It was actually worse when he didn’t say much – means he’s absolutely sick of you.

Still breathing heavily, you stood up, leaning on your knees with your palms for support.

“Shit, guys,” Jean muttered. “Shall we say our goodbyes now, or…?”

“Jean.” Mikasa snapped, shutting him up.

You glared at Eren who glared right back at you, although his eyes were already void of the rage that was previously residing in them.

You looked away without a word and made your way towards the cottage, wanting to wipe all the dirt and soot away.

&#;

You stared at your distraught face in the mirror. Distraught by the fight you had with Eren, and by the fact that you got on Captain’s nerves again. How longer can you go on like this before he finally kicks you out?

You wiped your wet face with a towel as you heard someone come into the bathroom. Mikasa’s frame showed up in the mirror.

“Mikasa,” you spoke without hesitation as you turned around. “I’m sorry for what I said.”

Mikasa shook her head sheepishly. “It’s alright.”

“No, it’s not. You’re the most caring person I know and I used that to shame Eren, although there’s no shame in caring for your loved ones.”

Mikasa blushed as she set her eyes to the ground. “Everyone’s going to sleep already – you better hurry.”

“Right,” you sighed, feeling the jitters of anticipation.

You quit the bathroom and made your way to the cleaning cupboard to grab all sorts of supplies. At least the Captain was nowhere to be seen – you couldn’t bear his condemning gaze now. Not when you secretly always yearn for his approval.

You can’t help but stare at him a second longer than you should, or think about him when you shouldn’t. The fact that he hasn’t kicked you off of his squad gives you some material for thinking that maybe he simply doesn’t want to. There’s just something about him that makes you tense everytime you’re around him – not the dread everyone feels, but something else entirely, something that makes your stomach tingle.

You just finished cleaning all the dishes after dinner and was now sweeping the floor that was still clean after your cleaning tasks earlier in the day. That was the point of the punishment, you figured – clean the surroundings that are already clean, only to frustrate you.

You were kind of spacing out, the flashbacks of the fight with Eren coming back, rekindling the violent blaze within you. Everything was suddenly in your head again, pushing you to the edge. You closed your eyes and exhaled through your nose as you stopped momentarily, letting go of the broom and trying to forget how Eren just blurted out about your sorrows, how Captain glared at you, how everyone got to witness you getting unhinged again.

Hot flashes hit your body as you blew the stray ringlet of hair from your forehead, leaning on the dining table with your palms, desperately trying to calm down.

“Who told you to stop?”

Oh no… Really not the time.

You needed a few more seconds to stop the shivers as you opened your eyes and straightened your frame, facing Captain Levi, who was leaning against the counter.

It was precisely those few extra seconds that displeased him.

“Tsk,” he spat out as he straightened his frame. “Not only you’re deranged, but lazy too.”

You faced him with as blank a face as you could possibly muster, yet all your feelings were bubbling up, threatening to spill out with a little more provocation. You never wanted to rip off someone’s head so bad, until now.

You didn’t realize you’d squeezed your eyes shut until they suddenly opened with the sound of hard crash – Levi had purposely smashed a ceramic cup to the ground, shattering it to pieces.

You set your mad eyes on him, disbelief written all over you.

“Clean it.” he ordered. “Or are you going to disobey me again?”

You bit the inside of your cheek so hard you sure it was bleeding, breathing heavily, restraining yourself like never before in order not to pounce on him.

Instead, you repeatedly bit your lower lip as you felt your eyes watering. It’s better to cry yourself stupid before him than to actually hit him – then everything would definitely be over.

He stepped closer to you, your clothes almost brushing together, as he looked down on you with clear disgust, and… satisfaction?

You were so angry. He tried to demean you just now, and you were under immense pressure to actually pick those pieces up. You knew you had to, but you couldn’t bring yourself to.

You gulped. “You’re abusing your power.”

“No,” he closed in on you, making you step backwards until the back of your thighs hit the table. “I’m establishing my power, since you clearly don’t recognize it.”

He leaned his palms on the table just like you did moments ago, trapping you. Your heart was palpitating against your ribcage, yet for reasons entirely different than rage.

All of those glances and pushes and punishments now made sense – that was the only way he could think of to interact with you with no suspicion from others. He’d often chide you for the stupidest things, just so he’d have the chance to have a conversation with you, no matter how fleeting or unimportant.

Deep down you always knew it, and that’s why you’re continued being such a burden. Just so that he’d look at you and punish you again, scream at you, or kick the shit out of you again.

The atmosphere in the room has changed radically. You felt like walking on a string, about to fall off as his face was hovering just above yours, torturing you with anticipation.

“You wanted to beat the shit out of me just now, didn’t you?” he quizzed while slowly tracing your features with his stony gaze. Instead of answering, you gulped.

He grabbed your face harshly, puckering up your lips in the process. “Speak.”

“Yes.” you admitted before his hand slid down to lightly hang at the base of your neck, igniting whole another fire within you.

“Yes what?” he asked, adding pressure to his hand.

“Yes, Captain.”

At this rate, you’re going to burn out.

He chuckled quietly through his nose and stood up straight. “Go on, then. I’m ordering you to slap me.”

It was as if you just turned into a statue – that’s how shocked you were. “W-What?” you asked sheepishly.

“Do I need to repeat myself?”

You stared at him, trying to see him and his intentions through. Obviously, things were finally getting spicy, but your defense mechanism still rang some alarm bells – is he trying to trick you into something? Are you really going to bitch-slap the humanity’s strongest?

You felt your palms starting to tingle as he stared right into your eyes, challenging you to do it.

And you’re gonna do it, alright.

Something just snapped inside you, as it always does before you do something stupid or something you’re going to regret. You charged your palm with strength before sending it flying across his cheek with all your might. You whimpered as your skin came in contact with his, setting your palm on fire from such a harsh stroke.

And then it dawned on you – you really did bitch-slap him. He even stumbled one step backwards, his head ominously turned to the side, crow-black hair shielding his eyes from your vision, what absolutely terrified you.

He straightened his frame as he wiped a droplet of blood from his lip with the tip of his thumb.

You gasped audibly, making him look at you.

That’s it, you thought, he has a perfect reason to kill you now, and you were stupid enough to fall for it. You closed your eyes and awaited whatever’s to come, and it did come.

His lips came crashing on yours, both of you stumbling backwards, moving the table a bit. He immediately yanked you to sit on the wooden surface, positioning himself between your thighs as you held onto him for dear life.

He devoured you with hungry, open-mouthed kisses before you bit his lower lip, drawing blood once more.

One of his hands that were digging into your hips came in contact with your neck, squeezing it hard and pushing you away so he could see your hazy face.

“Savage.” he muttered after a few moments of taking you in, making your mouth stretch out into a lazy smile.

He pushed himself to you further, making your back hit the table as he attached his lips just below your neck, where jaw transitions to neck, coaxing a mewl out of you. He coaxed another when he rutted his hips against yours, making you aware of the growing tent in his pants.

“Fuck,” you breathed out, eyes closed as he sucked and bit little marks all over your neck. Hiding them is going to be a problem.

You took his face in your hands and kissed him deeply, rolling your hips against his in a tantalizing motion, whimpering at how his hardness brushes against where you need him the most, feeling him exhale into your mouth as his mind was equally clouded.

It felt like everything was finally coming to be exactly as it should, like you’d finally be released from your misery, like the intentions behind each of your actions would finally be clear, without any misunderstandings.

You were both impatient. No time for thorough build up, you just wanted to feel him inside you, just as he wanted to fill you up.

He drew back a bit, restrained by your legs snaking his waist as he rested his forehead against yours, panting heavily. “I’d really like to fuck you now.”

The fact that after all the crazy shit you’ve been through today he’d still ask for consent made you give it all to him. “Only if you do it so hard I can’t walk for days.”

You felt his dick twitch. “Easy.”

You yelped as he flipped you around, fumbling with the hem of your pants as he pushed them down to your knees, along with your underwear. You shivered as cool air hit your slick folds, and once again when you heard Levi fumbling with his own belt.

You wiggled your hips against him, impatient, almost crying out – you needed him that bad. His palm came flying against your behind, making you yelp loudly, gripping the edge of the table as you’re all sprawled out on top of it.

You whimpered again as you felt him brush the tip of his dick teasingly against your entrance. “Please, Captain…”

“So impatient,” he muttered silently before ramming into you without any warning.

Your nails dug into the wooden edge as you cried out into the air, holding on for dear life as he slammed you, table legs creaking underneath you rhythmically.

Levi had a perfect view of you as he rutted against you – the way your ass bounced flush against his hip, your arm muscles straining as you gripped the edge of the table harder and harder, the way the strands of your hair flew up and down with each motion, and how helplessly you squealed each time his tip hit your cervix – all of that sent him insane, unable to stop the silent whimpers that came out from his own mouth.

He had to restrain himself from going too fast – that’s how eager he was to finally sprawl you under him, after all this time you drove him out of his mind with your unstable behavior, hatred-driven glances and disobedience.

“Yes, yes, love it,” you wailed incoherently.

“Of course you do,” he huffed just before he grabbed a fistful of your hair and yanked your head backwards, stars spilling out of your head.

The way his dick breached you was literally driving you crazy – it was like a perfect fit, slipping soundly against your walls and hitting all the right spots at exactly the right time. Your cunt clenched around him on its own, making him groan at your artfulness. His fingers dug into the plush of your backside, thrusting into you without any mercy.

The coil in your stomach was getting tighter and tighter, your brain short-circuiting each time you heard Levi groan, the lewd sounds of skin slapping against skin ringing against the walls.

“Oh, God,” you cried out as your bliss was rapidly closing in on you.

“No,” Levi countered as he pressed his back flush against yours, brushing his lips against your ear. “just me.”

His head hung down, burying itself in the crook of your neck as he finally spilt his seed inside of you with a low groan that sent you to your own release. You cried out as he panted heavily against your skin, your body slumping on the table completely.

You had to muster up the remaining grain of your strength when Levi stood up and pulled his pants on so you could to the same with your own. Your breathing was still erratic as you fumbled with the pair of strings in the hem of your pants, trying to tie them. Levi approached you and lightly swatted your trembling hands away, tying them for you.

You were lost in his gray eyes by now, not even knowing what to say at first, but this silence that ensued was kind of comforting, both of you assessing the situation.

He chuckled suddenly. “Why did you beat the shit out of Jaeger in the first place?”

You smiled awkwardly as you shook your head curtly, gluing your eyes to the ground. “Doesn’t matter. Stupid thing, really.”

“Alright.” he said, his voice low, as usual. “You can tell me all about it next time.”

His words made you look at him again, eyebrows slightly lifted, eyes full of sudden anticipation.

Next time?

You were kind of scared at the thought of getting together with Captain again, but you felt excited way more.

“Oh, and like I said,” he paused before leaving the room completely. “clean it.”

You remembered the shattered cup and this time failed to refrain a smirk that creeped upon your lips.

“Yes, Captain.”

He left after that, but you swear you saw a ghost of a smile on those harsh lips.

La primera vez de Levi y Petra

The one whose name was Gray went limp and began to sink onto the asphalt. Holding the rest of the bottle in front of him by the neck, Mikhail directed the edge of the broken glass at the second and threatened him. - Hey, stop, stop, what are you doing, - he mumbled, retreating, the fighting fervor of the remaining one lover to have. Fun was sharply reduced.
