FULL INTERVIEW: Hanson revealed on latest episode of The Masked Singer

The band made Masked Singer history as the first-ever group to participate in the show. Hanson discussed new music, shows and their experience on the hit FOX show.

LOS ANGELES - The fifth season of "The Masked Singer" has proven to be extraordinary. Not only are fans getting explosive reveals, butthey’re also getting loads of cash in their pockets.

Each week, viewers of "The Masked Singer" are given the opportunity to correctly predict six questions related to the episode on the FOX Super 6 app — and in return, fans are taking home cash that will make you dance.

Only five costumes remained at the top of last week’s feisty battle: Black Swan, the Russian Dolls, Chameleon, Piglet and Yeti. And while the Russian Dolls teamed up for some incredible performances, they were finally ousted from their nest and revealed as '90s icons and pop-rock trio Hanson.

The band made "Masked Singer" history as the first-ever group to participate in the show, which made the process incredibly challenging.

While guessing may seem difficult for America’s favorite singing competition series, it doesn’t take much to win cash that will put a smile on your face.

In the week before Hanson’s big reveal, only 14% of participants were able to correctly guess that Robopine would be the contestant sent home that week.

But that was enough for one lucky fan who ended up winning $10,000.

With the show being down to its final four contestants, this week’s questions are sure to be welcome to eager contestants.

1. Will a panelist get a first impression guess correct Wednesday night?

2. Which character's clue is connected to Robin?

3. Cluedle-Doo performs before he reveals himself?

4. Will Chameleon perform Hip-Hop this week?

5. Which character makes Jenny fall out of her chair?

6. Which character in the competition is going to be unmasked Wednesday Night?

This week, the Orca turned out to be 90s legend and singer of the band Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath.

The Orca may not ride the wave into the finals, but he certainly choked up the audience with his emotional rendition of "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" by Poison — one of his father’s favorite songs. McGrath’s father, Edward, passed away in 2010.

McGrath said it was an honor to be a contestant because it’s his children’s favorite show on television.

Wednesday’s big reveal on the fifth season of The Masked Singer was a whale of an episode.

"I can’t wait to see the looks on their faces," he said.

LOS ANGELES - In last week’s jam-packed, double-elimination episode of "The Masked Singer," the Crab and the Seashell cracked and were sent home. But the FOX Super 6 app shelled out a ton of cash to one lucky viewer.

Each week, viewers are given the chance to correctly predict six questions related to the episode on the FOX Super 6 app — and in return, fans can win big bucks.

One lucky fan who correctly guessed that the Crab would be sent home was a Maryland resident who took home $10,000.

While there are six questions every week, it only takes one right answer to win an unforgettable cash prize.

Getting all six answers correct increases a participant’s chance of winning, but since the prize drawing is random, even one correct guess gives players a chance to win.

Users who enter the sweepstakes every week will receive an extra entry into the ultimate grand prize sweepstakes for a shot at the $100,000 grand prize.

FULL INTERVIEW: Bobby Brown discusses his experience on The Masked Singer

The Crab turned out to be legendary singer, songwriter and rapper Bobby Brown.

Only 20% of participants were able to correctly guess the identity of the Crab, later revealed to be legendary singer, songwriter and rapper Bobby Brown.

I decided that it would be something good for me to get out of the house and do something productive, and ‘The Masked Singer’ allowed me to do that."

This week, the questions may be as surprising as last week’s epic double reveal.

1.) Which performance will win Best Love Song in The Masky's Wednesday night?
2.) True or False: Cluedle Doo reveals a special clue about himself Wednesday night.
3.) Which performance will win most game changing performance?
4.) Which performance will win best pop song?

FULL INTERVIEW: Danny Trejo discusses The Masked Singer after reveal

Danny Trejo tried to win over the show’s panelists, but it wasn’t enough to remain in the competition.

LOS ANGELES - The fifth season of "The Masked Singer" continues to bring shocking reveals including iconic actor and big screen "tough guy" Danny Trejo, who was revealed as the Raccoon last week. As if that isn’t shocking enough, viewers of America’s most popular singing competition are given the chance weekly to win cash prizes thanks to the FOX Super 6 app.

Every week, viewers of "The Masked Singer" can predict the answers to six questions related to each week’s episode on the FOX Super 6 app.

Last week’s winner snagged $10,000.

Questions included, "Which character dedicates their performance to Nicole Wednesday night?" and "Which character's self-portrait clue is a super hero?" as well as "Who is going to be unmasked Wednesday night?" Twenty-five percent of participants got that question correct and chose "Raccoon" as the contestant to be sent home.

While getting all six answers correct increases a participant’s chance of winning, the prize drawing is random, so even one correct guess gives players a chance to win big bucks.

Last week’s winner, Stacy, signed up for the FOX Super 6 app during NFL season when it was "Win Terry’s Monday."

Stacy resides in Wisconsin and works in corrections. He has five kids and a wife and said he will probably put the money toward a vacation. Surprisingly, Stacy said he was not watching on the night he won but will watch next week and for the remainder of the season.

RELATED: ‘The Masked Singer’ just unmasked the Yeti and Cluedle-Doo in one of the most shocking reveals

Omarion, best known for being the lead singer in the band B2K in the early 2000s, was the latest contestant to be sent home Wednesday night.

FULL INTERVIEW: Omarion revealed on latest episode of The Masked Singer

During the shocking double reveal on Wednesday night’s episode, the Yeti, a contestant that many judges considered a top contender for the season, was unmasked after the reveal of Cluedle-Doo.

"Even though this was a competition, did I really lose? No, I really didn’t," Omarion, 36, told FOX Television Stations. "I gained so much with this experience."

The father of daughter A'mei Kazuko Grandberry, 5, and son Megaa Omari Grandberry, 6, said his children did not know he was performing on the show but that it didn’t stop them from guessing.

"They did see a few performances, and they were like, ‘Wait a minute, that sounds like dad. Dad, is that you?,’" Omarion shared. "After the reveal last night they were so excited. My son was like, ‘Dad, I’m gonna be the little Yeti. I think I’m gonna be on The Masked Singer now.’"

While on the FOX show, Omarion gave a soulful and heartfelt rendition of Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco’s "Lonely," making panelists and audience members tear up.

Yeti exit interview

The Yeti broke history as the first contestant to perform in roller skates.

"I know what it feels like to be lonely. I think everyone does. I think that sometimes being lonely gets kind of a bad rap, but it’s so important to self-reflect and spend that time rejuvenating and getting to know yourself. I was able to bring that emotion because I know it’s human nature," the "Ice Box" singer shared.

And, according to Omarion, his appearance on "The Masked Singer" may not be over yet.

"Keep watching The Masked Singer. You might see me as a judge, you never know these things," Omarion hinted.

Now discussing:

Hanson’s turn as Russian Dolls on ‘The Masked Singer’ snags FOX Super 6 player stacks of cash

FULL INTERVIEW: Hanson revealed on latest episode of The Masked Singer

The band made Masked Singer history as the first-ever group to participate in the show. Hanson discussed new music, shows and their experience on the hit FOX show.

LOS ANGELES - Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson, famous for their hit single "MMMBop," rocked the "The Masked Singer" stage in Wednesday night’s reveal, totally fooling the audience.

The brothers called the experience "fun, isolating, challenging."

And though "The Masked Singer" did not keep the Russian Dolls around for another week, the characters’ reveal left viewers shocked and one FOX Super 6 player $10,000 richer.

Only five costumes remained at the top of Wednesday's feisty five battle: Black Swan, the Russian Dolls, Chameleon, Piglet and Yeti. And while the Russian Dolls teamed up for some incredible performances, they were finally ousted from their nest and revealed as 90’s icons and pop-rock trio Hanson.

"We really liked that it was about singing," Taylor told FOX Television Stations.

The Masked Singer reveal: The Russian Dolls

The Russian Dolls on the fifth season of The Masked Singer, have maybe been the most difficult contestant to guess in the entire series.

"You’re going on stage, and you’re no longer you. You’re some new character that you’re creating. I think that’s a really powerful experience, a powerful way to try and rethink what you can add to performing when really people are in the audience and we are playing as Hanson, and hopefully, that will add that much more to kind of the way we do things going forward," Zac shared.

The band made "Masked Singer" history as the first-ever group to participate in the show, which made the process incredibly challenging.

"Not only were we doing it for the first time, but the whole team was trying to figure out how to make it work for the first time," Zac said.

Next year, the brothers will celebrate a momentous 30 years as a band, and they say their musical style still continues to evolve.

hanson1

"You have things that will forever remain the same. One of those things obviously would be harmony," Isaac said. "When you’re going through the inevitable changes of life, especially from being young kids, teenagers to adulthood and so on, there’s a lot of life that gets poured into those songs."

Zac continued, "Evolution as an artist isn’t really about leaving behind what you were, it’s about adding something new to what you are, and that has been a continual process for us, year after year after year. You develop your skills, you develop more perspective, and those experiences pour into the songs you write."

But Hanson believes the group's evolution will not shift to costumes and choreography like they donned in "The Masked Singer."

"We discovered we definitely will not be adding costumes," Zac laughed.

But "The Masked Singer" isn’t the only surprise from the group this year. Hanson is making 2021 all about new music with their seventh studio release, "Against The World," set to premiere in seven consecutive monthly singles throughout the year.

Their debut single "Annalie" was released earlier this week.

RELATED: ‘Tough guy in a raccoon suit’: Danny Trejo’s reveal on ‘The Masked Singer’ unlocked cash prize on FOX Super 6

"I think it’s really unique. I don’t think we’ve released anything quite like this. I like that curveball element," Isaac said of the new single.

The group’s project will usher in a stream of new content including music videos for each of the seven tracks and a summer concert series, offering both livestream and limited in-person tickets.

"We are inviting fans to go on a journey. We’re taking a journey of discovery with the audience," Taylor revealed.

And while Hanson will not be able to participate in the final four on "The Masked Singer," it still left another lucky fan with $10,000.

Jenna from Michigan, who watches "The Masked singer" every week, was Wednesday evening’s winner.

TMS-Generic-Nicole_UPDATE.jpg

Questions this week included, "How many Russian Dolls will sing?", "Does Cluedle-Doo interrupt the panel?" and "Who is going to be unmasked on Wednesday night?"

Only 12% of participants were able to correctly guess that the Russian Dolls would be sent home, and while Hanson won’t make it to the final four, the brothers said "it was a great experience."
